Butterfly valve is a throttling‑type valve. Disc‑shaped plate rotates around the valve stem to realize opening and closing. It has compact structure, small size and light weight with fast switching action. It can be used for flow regulation and pipeline medium shut‑off. Widely used in water supply‑drainage, sewage treatment, HVAC and chemical pipelines. Suitable for large‑diameter pipelines, mainly for water and gas media. Not fit for high‑temperature and high‑pressure working conditions. Main types include wafer‑type and flange‑type.
