Jaw Crusher
Jaw‑crusher, also known as jaw breaker, is primary coarse‑crushing equipment for crushing plant. Material is crushed by compression, splitting and bending between movable jaw and fixed jaw plates. When movable jaw approaches fixed jaw, ore is compressed and fractured; when movable jaw retreats, qualified material discharges by gravity through discharge opening. Suitable for rocks & ores with compressive strength ≤320 MPa. Widely used in mining, aggregate, metallurgy, building materials and solid‑waste recycling.

1. Compound Pendulum Jaw Crusher (PE Series, mainstream)
‑ Principle: Movable jaw performs compound swing with horizontal & vertical movement. ‑ Features: High crushing efficiency, good particle shape, compact structure, full range from small to large size. ‑ Feed size:125‑1000 mm; capacity:1‑800 t/h. ‑ Application: Primary crushing for mine and aggregate production line, most universal model.
2. Simple Pendulum Jaw Crusher (PEJ Series)
‑ Principle: Movable jaw performs simple arc swing. ‑ Features: Good stress condition, strong impact‑resistance, heavy machine weight. ‑ Application: Large‑scale mine, primary crushing for huge raw ore blocks.
3. PEX Fine Jaw Crusher
‑ Principle: Extended crushing chamber with small discharge gap. ‑ Features: Finer product size, available for secondary crushing. ‑ Application: Secondary crushing, reduce load of downstream fine‑crushing equipment.
2. Main Components
Machine frame, eccentric shaft, flywheel & pulley, movable jaw assembly, fixed jaw plate, movable jaw plate, side liners, toggle plate (over‑load protection), shims for gap adjustment, tension spring. Jaw plates and side liners are high‑manganese wear parts, reversible for extended service life.
3. Key Features
‑ Large reduction ratio, stable & reliable operation; simple structure, easy maintenance. ‑ Toggle‑plate serves as overload protection; breaks automatically when un‑crushable iron enters chamber. ‑ Discharge gap adjusted by shims, wide range of finished particle size. ‑ Capacity:1‑1200 t/h; max feed size up to 1200 mm.
4. Typical Applications
Primary crushing for granite, basalt, river pebble, iron ore, limestone, quartzite; first‑stage crushing of aggregate lines; raw‑ore preparation for mineral processing; recycling of construction waste and concrete blocks. Process flow: Raw ore → Jaw‑crusher primary crushing → Cone / Impact crusher → Screening.

6. Selection Guidance
- Max feed size shall not exceed 80‑85 % of feed opening width to avoid blockage.
- For hard rock (granite, basalt): select one size larger to reduce load and prolong wear‑part life.
- For coarse crushing only: choose standard PE model; for finer output: adopt PEX fine jaw crusher.
- Reserve 20 % capacity margin for future capacity expansion.
- Simple‑pendulum PEJ for large‑size heavy‑impact ore; compound‑pendulum PE for general‑purpose projects.
