Mining Vibrating Screen

Mining vibrating screen is key screening equipment for mining and metallurgy. The exciter generates exciting force to drive the screen box vibrating. Materials stratify and pass through screen meshes to realize particle sizing, pre‑screening, desliming and dewatering. Main components include exciter, screen box, screen media, vibration‑isolation springs and frame. Two installation types: base‑mounted and suspension‑hung. Features: strong exciting force, large throughput, robust wear‑resistant structure and easy maintenance.

1. Main Types

1. Circular Vibrating Screen (YK series)

‑ Working principle: Single‑shaft eccentric exciter generates circular / elliptical motion; screen deck inclined at 15‑25°. ‑ Features: Sufficient material tumbling, high screening efficiency, impact‑resistant for abrasive ores. ‑ Application: Pre‑screening in crushing plant, sizing ore and aggregates, medium‑coarse & medium‑fine material separation.

2. Linear Vibrating Screen (ZSG series)

‑ Working principle: Two exciters rotate synchronously in opposite directions to produce linear vibration; screen deck near‑horizontal or small inclination angle. ‑ Features: Fast material conveying, large capacity; multi‑deck available for dewatering & desliming. ‑ Application: Coarse bulk material screening, tailings dewatering, coal and sinter ore classification.

3. Dewatering Vibrating Screen

‑ Working principle: Linear vibration with high frequency & small amplitude. ‑ Features: Excellent solid‑liquid separation performance. ‑ Application: Dewatering for ore pulp and washed tailings.

2. Main Components

Exciter (eccentric block / eccentric shaft), screen box, wear‑resistant screen media (polyurethane / rubber / steel plate), anti‑vibration springs, base / suspension bracket. 1‑4 screen decks can separate raw material into 2‑5 finished particle fractions in one pass.

3. Typical Applications

Iron ore, copper ore, gold ore, coal mines, quarries; sinter and pellet in metallurgy; aggregate production lines. Used for pre‑screening before crushing to reduce crusher load; sizing finished crushed material; tailings dewatering & desliming. Capacity: 5‑600 t/h; maximum feed size up to 300 mm.

5. Selection Guidance

1. Coarse crushing & pre‑screening: Prefer circular vibrating screen
2. High‑capacity, dewatering / desliming: Prefer linear vibrating screen
3. Heavy‑abrasion conditions: Adopt polyurethane or rubber screen media
4. Installation: Base‑mounted for simple site erection; suspension‑hung for space‑saving.
